Terms of Service

Who we are
Fishingstat is a fishing log and analytics service, available at fishingstat.com and in the Fishingstat Android app, operated by ROLAND BICOK PR AGENCIJA ZA VEB PORTALE BROLI SUBOTICA, a sole proprietorship registered at Lajoša Joa 61, 24000 Subotica, Serbia (tax number PIB 112265820, registration number MB 65988852), and built by Roland Bicok and Aleksandar Langer (about us). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.
Your account
You must be at least 16 years old to use Fishingstat, and you confirm this when you sign up. If we learn that an account belongs to someone younger, we will close it. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. If you think your account has been compromised, contact us straight away.
You may only create one account per person. Sharing accounts or creating accounts on behalf of others is not permitted.
What you can do
We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use Fishingstat for your own recreational fishing logging. You can log sessions, record catches, view your stats, and share catch cards.
What you cannot do
- Submit false or exaggerated catch data to gain positions on public leaderboards.
- Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers against the service.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or resell any part of the service.
- Upload content that is illegal, offensive, or infringes on someone else’s rights.
- Upload photos that show other people without their agreement.
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently remove accounts that violate these rules, particularly around leaderboard integrity.
Your content
The photos, notes and names you add stay yours. You give us permission to store, process and display them as needed to run the service, including publicly where you have chosen that (leaderboards, a public profile, share cards). That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.
Only upload content you have the right to share. To report a photo, a name or anything else that should not be on Fishingstat, write to support@fishingstat.com. We review every report and remove content that breaks these terms.
Premium subscription
Fishingstat Premium is a subscription billed at $2.99 per month or $29.99 per year, whichever you choose at checkout. On the website the subscription is sold by FastSpring, our authorised reseller: it takes the payment, issues the invoice and pays out any refund. In the Android app the payment is handled by Google Play, where the price is shown in your local currency before you confirm. By subscribing you authorise recurring charges at that interval until you cancel.
To subscribe you must be 18 or older, or have the permission of a parent or guardian, who is then responsible for the purchase.
You can cancel at any time. For a subscription bought on the website, use the link in your FastSpring receipt email, or write to us and we will cancel it for you. For a subscription bought in the Android app, cancel it in Google Play under Payments and subscriptions. Cancelling stops future billing and your Premium access continues until the end of the period already paid for.
See our refund policy for the 7-day money-back guarantee and for the 14-day right of withdrawal that consumers in the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Serbia have. Nothing in these terms or in the refund policy limits the rights you have under the consumer law of your country, including any legal right to withdraw from a purchase.
Your data
You own the fishing data you log. We store it to provide the service to you. See our privacy policy for full details on what we collect and how we use it.
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings. See the account deletion page for instructions. When you delete your account we cancel a subscription bought on the website for you. A subscription bought through Google Play is not cancelled by deleting your account, so cancel it in Google Play first.
Leaderboards and public content
Leaderboards are off by default. When you turn them on, your name, profile photo, catch data, and location (country, region and water) are visible to anyone, including people without an account. You can turn them off again at any time in Settings.
Share cards you generate are publicly accessible via their unique link. You can delete a share card from your gallery at any time.
Tips, AI and fishing rules
Fishing tips, species recognition, catch checks, weather and conditions are produced automatically, partly by AI, and can be wrong. Treat them as suggestions, not as guarantees.
You are responsible for fishing legally and safely. Licences, permits, closed seasons, size and bag limits and protected species are yours to check. Fishingstat does not tell you what is permitted where you fish.
Availability
We aim to keep Fishingstat running reliably but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, change, or withdraw features at any time. We will try to give reasonable notice of significant changes.
Ending your account
You can stop using Fishingstat and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms; where it is reasonable, we will warn you first. If we close a paid account for any other reason, we will refund the unused part of the period you paid for.
Limitation of liability
Fishingstat is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss of data, loss of income, or other indirect damages arising from your use of the service.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, for example for intent, gross negligence or personal injury, or the rights you have as a consumer.
Changes to these terms
If we make material changes to these terms we will notify you by email or by a notice in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. If you do not agree, you can delete your account before that date. Continued use of the service after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Serbia. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, and you can bring a claim before the courts of that country.
