Who builds FishingStat

FishingStat is made by two people, not a company you have never heard of. This page says who we are and how to reach us.

The team

Roland Bicok leads product. He is the angler of the two, and the reason the app exists: the features here are the ones he wanted on the bank and could not find in one place.

Aleksandar Langer leads engineering. He builds and runs the web app, the Android app and the backend behind them.

Between us we handle everything: the code, the design, the support replies and the fishing. When you email us, one of us reads it.

Why we built it

Every angler has the same problem. You remember the fish, and you forget everything that mattered about catching it: the water, the swim, the bait, the pressure, the hour. A season later the detail is gone, and with it any chance of spotting your own patterns.

The alternatives were a notebook that gets wet, a camera roll with no structure, or a spreadsheet nobody fills in at 5am. FishingStat is the version we wanted instead: start a session when you arrive, log a catch in a few taps, and let the record build itself into stats, personal bests and streaks you can actually read.

How we build it

FishingStat is free to use, with an optional Premium subscription at $2.99 per month. There are no ads, and we do not sell your data. That is the whole business model, and it is why the app is not built to farm your attention: the only thing it asks of you is a few taps per fish.

Everything is written in English, Serbian and Hungarian, because that is what we and the anglers around us speak. What we collect and why is set out in full in our privacy policy, and Premium is covered by a 7-day money-back guarantee.

Talk to us

Bugs, billing, feature requests, or a fish you want to show off: send it to our contact form and one of us will reply. Feature requests from anglers are where most of the roadmap comes from.
